Mazda CX-3: Driving Tips / Break-In Period
No special break-in is necessary, but a few
precautions in the first 1,000 km (600
miles) may add to the performance,
economy, and life of the vehicle.
- Do not race the engine.
- Do not maintain one constant speed,
either slow or fast, for a long period of
time.
- Do not drive constantly at full-throttle or
high engine rpm for extended periods of
time.
- Avoid unnecessary hard stops.
- Avoid full-throttle starts.
How you operate your Mazda determines
how far it will travel on a tank of fuel. Use
these suggestions to help save fuel and
reduce CO2.
Avoid long warm-ups...
Other information:
The Traction Control System (TCS)
enhances traction and safety by controlling
engine torque and braking. When the TCS
detects driving wheel slippage, it lowers
engine torque and operates the brakes to
prevent loss of traction.
This means that on a slick surface, the
engine adjusts automatically to provide
optimum power to the drive wheels,
limiting wheel spin and loss of traction...
Inspecting Coolant Level
WARNING
Do not use a match or live flame in the
engine compartment. DO NOT ADD
COOLANT WHEN THE ENGINE IS HOT: A hot engine is dangerous. If the engine has
been running, parts of the engine
compartment can become very hot...

The system operates only when the driver
is in the vehicle or within operational
range while the key is being carried.
NOTE
When the battery power is low, or in
places where there are high-intensity radio
waves or noise, the operational range may
become narrower or the system may not
operate. For determining battery
replacement, Refer to Keyless Entry
System.
